Pests in and around your home is a huge hassle and major concern - it makes living in your home uncomfortable. Some pests can even pose a health risk to you and your family. But there are some measures you can take to prevent pests before they happen!
-Make it a habit to wash and heat-dry your clothes and personal items, such as blankets, bedsheets, and towels.
-Pay special attention to the kitchen and dining area. Dispose of your garbage properly and regularly as they are attractive to hungry pests.
-Keep your house clean.
-Before they come inside, check your pets for fleas. Once they are indoors, they can easily spread.
-Fixing a leaky faucet can go a long way. Since pests love water and moisture, repairing an existing drainage system can prevent leaks.
Here are some pest control techniques for some common household invaders:
Ensure that all food is properly sealed when stored. Close food using plastic containers and Ziploc bags to keep ants out. If ants still return, take a soapy cloth and wipe away the line of ants that are causing a nuisance.
You need to read the instructions on where the bait should be placed and then maintain it, per the instructions.
Eliminate any food or water left laying around. Get rid of any food that you do not need.
Ants, gnats, flies, and spiders are the tenant's responsibility to get rid of, we will not treat for those pests.
As always, if you suspect you have cockroaches, mice, or bed bugs, please submit a work order so Housing Hub can schedule our pest control technicians to treat your unit.
